Set your air conditioner to 25˚ C – and only cool the rooms you are currently using. Close the doors to other rooms that have low traffic use and keep the air moving with fans. Turn fans and air conditioners off when leaving the home for more than 10 min. And don’t run the conditioners at night unless you absolutely have to. Try opening windows and running fans at night instead – besides, it is quieter! Keep blinds and curtains closed on windows that have direct sunlight, and open them only when the sun is hitting another side of the house instead.

Clean the air conditioner filter or replace it every 2-6 months depending on how much you use it.

Don’t heat your pool at night, let the solar blanket warm it when you can.

Use a clothes-line instead of the dryer in the heat of the summer.

Get a free laundry line if you live in BC by visiting Other energy supply and green energy companies and organizations might want to visit this site to see how they might emulate this program themselves.
