Kudos to the large number of people gathering the waste found in the ocean, rivers, waterways, streets and landfills!!! Here’s a very inspiring video that shows people in the act of cleaning up the oceans -
The video was put out to celebrate the 40cean.com organization – check out their site when you get a chance! Their whole campaign rests on selling Made from recycled materials, every bracelet purchased funds the removal of 1 pound of trash from the ocean - and those funds are used to hire fisherfolk to harvest plastic instead of fish. In less than 2 years, 4Ocean has removed 522,280 pounds of trash from the ocean and coastlines. This nonprofit currently operates out of multiple countries and employs over 150 people worldwide.
