“When the 1st edition of Trash Talk was released it was embraced by organizations like the Recycling Council of BC, a lot of schools & an environmental university and they bought a lot of copies and we got quite a few great reviews on that 1st edition. It was just picked up right away by people that were in the industry, promoting the industry or teaching within the industry of zero waste. 

It took a while to get it in everyday households, to get people to become interested. Back then zero waste wasn’t really a thing – but it slowly evolved, as did our book which is now a 2 book series (2012) and the books can be found in households across the globe. 

Readers tell us that the Trash Talk series is an especially great gift when a young person is moving into their home and have this book to help them start that journey more sustainably and save a heck of a lot of money along the way.  

We wanted people to realize that :
