New location for our Blog

Hello everyone! Thank you for joining us here at this new location for our blog. I've decided to move the blog from our myspace site: http://blog.myspace.com/canadianauthor

I've been running that blog for over a year there and have had some great success with it, however I've been convinced that this is a much better place to be with our blog. So here I am :)

I encourage everyone to check out our radio shows, newsletter, radio shows and articles through our main site: www.brummet.ca

Since I'm new here at the Blogger family, I'll start by offering some information for you to browse and get to know the Brummet family :)

Later on today, I'll post a few more topics from our other blog... and then I'll be posting here regularly from then on.

Bio:

Dave and Lillian Brummet have been writing professionally since 1999 starting out as free lance writers – which they continue to do today. To date, they have written 3 published books. The Brummets are also the hosts of the Conscious Discussions talk radio show and of the Authors Read radio program. The main focus of their writing and radio programs is to inspire hope in individuals, helping them realize the value of their efforts and encouraging them to become more positive, proactive in life.

The difference between their two shows is:

Conscious Discussions is an hour-long talk radio show that celebrates individuals from all over the globe who are working to make the planet a better place. Conscious Discussions is not about pointing fingers, its about saluting people that are stepping up and doing the right things in life. The International audience enjoys guests from all over the globe including Africa, Australia, England, France, Ireland, US and Canada. Conscious Discussions airs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays every week. Location: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/consciousdiscussions

The Authors Read is a 15 minute radio program offers authors, storytellers and poets a chance to read from their published work. There is nothing like hearing a story told the way the writer intended it to be read… straight from the writer's lips is even better!

Their Books:

Trash Talk - An Inspirational Guide to Saving Time and Money through Better Waste and Resource Management discusses the 4-R’s of waste management and the proper order for them. This being Refuse, Reduce, Reuse Then Recycle… before we even consider sending the item to the trash bin. Trash Talk focuses on the third R, Reuse – which also saves people a lot of money (through reduced shopping, reduced utility bills...) and provides a way to make a real and measurable contribution towards a healthier planet. The book enables readers to feel more positive in life and leave a lasting legacy.

Towards Understanding is a collection of 120 non-fiction poems is written in chronological order. It is a true story of a young pre-teen female growing up on her own, struggling to survive, breaking the chains of inner demons and finally growing towards understanding of her value & purpose in life – but not quite reaching it. Thus the title… Towards Understanding. The reason behind the book was to show other victims of abuse, violence and neglect that they can live a wholesome life without baggage from the past. Secondarly to that Lillian wanted to provide a roadmap that showed the healing process that victims go through, letting others know they are not alone. People who are involved with victims can learn what that person is going through or will go through and therefore they might be able to provide a better support system.

Purple Snowflake Marketing - How To Make Your Book Stand Out In A Crowd, is a reference guide for self-marketing authors who want to stand out in a snowstorm of published books. This is an e-book – enabling authors to take full advantage of the 21 appendices & over 500 direct links with a click of their mouse. This ebook was released in June 2007 and has already made the recommended reading lists of numerous writing courses. The knowledge in this ebook is based on 9 years of hands on experience as writers and business owners, tips we learned through writing courses, forums and conversations with others who write as a career.
