Radio...

-- Quote of the Day -- “ …It turns out that builders have amazing items – really neat, one of a kind items. And a lot of times it would go to the landfill or it would get stored in the ‘boneyard’ where they store things they just don’t want to throw out. And for do-it-your-self-ers, they end up storing it in the garage or somewhere. … Businesses too often have excess… and so we’ve got it now with a geo-platform so that when you come online it figures out where you are and suggests items that are closest to you. …Bricks, flooring… Virtually every tile installation job has a box or more of left over tiles, paint that was over-ordered… I’ve seen some amazing decorating items and a really cool bathtub. Sometimes, what might seem like scrap, like 2X4 ends, a very crafty person can do a smaller project with it. ” ~ Matt Knox Today's quote originates from the April 5th segment of the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show titled: Reuse for Construction & Home Improvement

Green Providers & Policy Makers

-- Guest Post Today -- Today's guest post comes to us from Dr Gary Robertshaw of the The Green Providers Directory :  www.green-providers.co.uk     Examining Leaders Thoughts on Human Impact on the Planet’s Health Speaking to an audience of MEPs and policymakers at a conference in Brussels, Prince Charles attacked climate change sceptics and deniers for what he referred to as the corrosive impact they exerted on public perceptions. And such perceptions and deliberate manipulation on the truth should not be underestimated. How many of us have heard comments such as: global warming is a myth, or its all part of a natural cycle and its been hotter in the past, long before humans started emitting carbon etc..?  Although there now exists a vast body of evidence pointing towards man-made climate change, deniers continue to perpetuate the myth that thousands of scientists throughout the world are conspiring to mislead the public. And that the world would have warmed anyway w

of insect bites & radio interviews

-- Quote of the Day -- Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid. ~ Albert Einstein -- Chatter -- I'm totally allergic to biting insects and every spring fall prey to illness related to bites. This spring I thought I made it through, but two days ago while mowing the lawn (and having neglected to put on natural insect repellent) I was bitten on the neck. Boy did that thing swell up! Like a golf ball on the back of my neck and the lymph nodes too. So finally, today, I'm feel better, and am back in action - but still really tired and a little under the weather. -- Brummets in the Media --  Join me with host Kristin Tews  of the Personal Best radio show based out of Norther Chicago, airing today at 10 AM (pacific)pm - WKRS 1220am -www.wkrs.com Find Dave and Lillian Brummet , excerpts from their
