chat room tips

Simple Tips To Make Your Chat With Random Strangers Fun, But Secure

* Written by: Shalini Madhav

It may not be the best way to go about meeting new people, but chat rooms are still among the most popular channels as far as making new friends and finding potential partners goes. When you choose to go with stranger chat, you should of course start by finding a chat room that reflects your interests and tastes. This way, you can be sure that you will get the most from your random chat. But considering that not everyone on the chats is interested in the same things you are, you are likely to find yourself chatting with a weirdo. For this reason, apart from choosing a good chat site, you need to conduct yourself in the best way possible to make your experiencing chatting with strangers fulfilling.

Tip 1 - Secure and encrypt your data if you want to remain anonymous. Your chat room will most definitely have a random cam but you can choose not to use it if you want your identity to remain anonymous. You can also ignore sharing videos that can reveal your identity if you are not comfortable with that. There are so many communication channels you can use and still remain just as anonymous as long as your data is encrypted and secured.

Tip 2 - Avoid sharing your personal details with the random strangers. Details such as phone number and home addresses or where you attend classes should remain personal. It is actually not a very good idea to share your last name with a stranger. Even if you feel you have met someone you really like and get along with it is still good to withhold some important details.

Tip 3 - Be fun and get personal. This doesn't mean giving away personal details, but you can share your life experiences and stories with strangers as long as you are both going with the flow. There is really no way you will manage to know the strangers better unless you both go beyond their hobbies so do not be afraid to get a little personal in your random chats.

Tip 4 - Remain in control at all times. There is really no obligation on you to continue with chats that scare you or make you uncomfortable. Remember, you are in it for fun and for that reason, you should remain fully in control. As soon as something rubs you the wrong you, feel free to leave the chat. Let nobody force into conversations you find inappropriate.

Tip 5 - Try not to download things from strangers. Chat rooms make it possible to share all manner of files, but be careful that you don't get viruses or attract hacks by such downloads. You really can't be sure of who you are talking to so be cautious with downloads. It is best you stick to the channels of communication made available to you and also ensure that you have the right computer protection to keep malware and other risks at bay even when you do downloads.

A stranger chat can be one of the most fulfilling if you know how to handle it. When getting into random chat, it helps to ensure everything is in order to keep you safe and secure.

"It is only when we silent the blaring sounds

of our daily existence

that we can finally hear the whispers

of truth that life reveals to us,

as it stands knocking

on the doorsteps of our hearts."
