In total, this company has about 145 of these facilities and have reached its 2008 goal of converting 50% of their plants to zero waste. Reuse and Recycling have been the focus of their waste reduction.  Chevrolet, too, is reaching toward a more sustainable business by their plans to invest forty million dollars in clean energy projects with the end goal of reducing 8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
