Many Tiny Efforts

-- Quote of the Day --

"You have to put in many,
Many, many tiny efforts
That nobody sees
Or appreciates
Before you achieve
Anything worthwhile."

 ~ Brian Tracey

-- Authors Read Radio --

Heather Kuehl (pronounced "keel") was born near the Great Lakes, but made her way to South Carolina where she lives to this day. She's the author of several books, short stories and writes poetry as well. Our listeners may remember hearing her name before, that is because we featured her back on March 8, 2010 on Authors Read radio when she read from Promises to Keep. Today Heather will be reading the first two chapters of her novel Fade to Black on Authors Read Radio. Click on the hyper-linked show title to find her episode, or look to the sidebars on this blog for links to recently aired Authors Read episodes. (Airs live @ 9 AM, episodes are archived for those who cannot make the live broadcasts).

Today's quote is really impacting me today... I keep thinking about all the work Dave and I have done over the last 12 years and all the awards and recognitions we have received - it has been an amazing journey. But it has also been an exciting, rewarding one that sometimes exhausts us and sometimes energizes us. :) The passions we have run to every day tasks from picking up waste, pulling invasive weeds, creating wildlife friendly yards and supporting the world of writing and literacy, groups and charities with volunteer work and a portion of the book royalties we receive... Sharing gardening seeds and donating used items... We do the best we can, where we can, when we can. Like many of you out there. Sometimes one can feel like your work is just a tiny contribution and not worth much, but when you are exposed to programs like Conscious Discussions Radio you may come to realize that your work, along with others', is creating a huge energetic wave that is - one day - going to cause a world wide tsunami.
While keeping in touch with the world events is important, we can get so tired and overwhelmed by negative information - so try to concentrate on feeding your minds with the positive news, like what we offer on this blog - and follow resources we offer, or listen to positive radio programs. By doing this, we have been able to keep our passions going, keep our activities happening - instead of burning out.

Until tomorrow...
Take care everyone!
