Redefining transportation & thinking patterns

-- Quote of the Day --

“…redefining how we describe ourselves – we are all walking brands so to speak, if you walk up to someone and ask them what they do and they say – ‘my entire day is filled with laughter and I make sure that others around me laugh too, and I also share hugs in there too’ …How many people do you run across who would say something like that? …It would start a conversation though about really the essence of who that person is and how they live – and being open about that rather than hiding behind titles. …I look at love as a way of bringing the flawed truth of who we are to each other, and embracing the flawed truth of who we are. …We become stronger and we become better. …love is embracing one another flaws and all and just accepting that.”

~ Lisa Avedon

Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on January 29, 2013… titled: Love Conquers All

People are constantly coming up with new practical inventions that can help us make the world run just a little more sustainably. Here's one that our readers may find of interest:

Sakurai Company created a product known as CoolCal, a heat-shielding film for trucks. CoolCal is an adhesive PVC film with heat-blocking pigments that reflect solar heat rays and was created to improve the efficiency of freezer, refrigerator, and insulated trucks. The initial tests prior to releasing on the market showed that this product saved 6-12˚ in temperature, and reduces overall pre-cooling time. It is expected to provide a real boon to transportation industries by lowering fuel costs, wait times, and product loss.
