Product Review

Product Review Erica Plessis is the owner of Choose Natural , a business that recently opened in Creston BC (Canada). Walking into the store, I couldn’t help but experience how open, clean and natural it felt. The well-lit room is lined with a great deal of Canadian made products. You’ll find Healing Hollow   organic, wild-harvested essential oil products and bath-bombs “ loaded with omega cluster, vitamins, minerals, plant sterols, GLA, CBD ” that are hand-made locally  (Cranbrook, BC – Canada) . Dotting the shelves periodically are beautifully planted succulents from a local nursery and whimsical wood signs made by a local artist. You won’t find drops and tinctures here however, but instead nutritional oil specially designed for humans and another for pets. You’ll also find creams and pet treats amongst many other health products. Erica tells us that the most popular products are the nutritional oil, the gel-cap supplements and the topical cream. Angle Hill Studio

Announcement Looking for pieces that you are missing on your drum? Perhaps all you need is just one small part and can't find it.  AngleHill Studios - a division of BrummetMedia.ca  - has a large stock of various drum hardware and parts (some  vintage) as well as  ropes, rings and rawhides for hand drums as well.  Dave, a music veteran of 35 years, has developed a percussion technician service - where he will strip down a drum set (drum, hardware, stands, etc) to each individual piece. Following inspection any repairs, re-threading, cleaning, lubrication or servicing is done prior to tuning. Your instrument will be given the chance to look, feel and sound the best the drum can be.  Do you have a stripped thread that stops you from using an stand or clamp properly - if at all? Some simple re-threading can bring back the usability of that cymbal or microphone  stand. AngleHill can also build custom hardware to your needs.  How...

Forests, Food, Trees, & Volunteers

-- Quote of the Day -- (On volunteering) “…So we would plant these trees so that 90 years from now the kids, when they are super old, can tell their grandchildren – ‘You see that tree, I planted that tree’ and tell the story of the walk-about that the trees themselves could tell. We had 21 different varieties of oak, different kinds of pitch pine and cedar – and the kids always came back feeling like the tree connected with who they are. …We built this organization one individual at a time. …The interesting thing about volunteers – is that everybody out there is invited to volunteer. People wait to be asked and are shy about that and wait to be invited. But every volunteer organization welcomes volunteers. People are just too shy and don’t think they can help. The first meaning in the word Armature is ‘one who loves’ – so when you do things out of love you’ll make mistakes, but everyone has a talent.” Frank Cipriani Today’s quote originates ...
