-- Quote of the Day --

“…The soup kitchen is the last stop on the way of getting food for the day. This idea struck me when I was at the water park and I asked them what they do with the lost towels and clothes they find on the grounds that people leave behind on the ground – it ended up being 3,000 towels in 3 weeks. …I took this a step further and asked the gym I go to what they do with their items, the manager took me to the back where there were three 55 gallon size bags of t-shirts, clothing, towels etc. …This is crazy that we have so many resources out there to help the poor (that are being thrown away). …The problem is that if the food is dated, the stores have to chuck it. …Major super markets have to get rid of the stuff, but they don’t have an organized game plan where groups can come and pick it up. …There is such a gap between resources and paying it forward.”
