Water the lawn only in the early morning or early evening, and only water once a week ā€“ but water deeplyā€¦ Some regions allow their lawns to go dormant as it would naturally do in the heat of summer. Be sure to mulch those clippings and keep the lawn at 2 1/2 ā€“ 3 inches tall.
