Water the lawn only in the early morning or early evening, and only water once a week ā but water deeplyā¦ Some regions allow their lawns to go dormant as it would naturally do in the heat of summer. Be sure to mulch those clippings and keep the lawn at 2 1/2 ā 3 inches tall.
