I originally learned of the Land Conservancy Org. through an article in the local newspaper that was highlighting some of their programs. I was definitely intrigued by their work and approached them to come on our Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show to inspire our listeners. Bill Turner, one of the founders and the current Executive Director of the Land Conservancy Org., has agreed to join us today.
Join us in the live chat room for the live broadcast at 10 AM (pacific) by clicking on the hyper-linked show title above - Use the same links to access the archived interview... or look to the side-bars of this blog for recently aired Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show episodes.

Canada's Citizen Week is celebrated from the 18-24th this year... and was set a side as a way to encourage Canadians to reflect on the value of citizenship. This is a good time to sit with a scrap of paper with your family, or by yourself, and consider questions like:
- What does it mean to you to be Canadian?
- What do you feel are the responsibilities of citizenship?
- How would the ideal citizen behave?

It’s another chance to read aloud poems that you’ve written yourself, or selections of your favourite poetry written by the great and famous poets throughout history. You can also just sit back, listen and enjoy. After all, what’s a Poetry Café without an audience?
For more information about poets and poetry, check out the website of the League of Canadian Poets, at www.poets.ca. The League established this event in Canada , to honour poetry and its vital place in our culture. Another fascinating website is www.youngpoets.ca, the place to inspire young poets and their teachers.
