Here is some interesting news about Geothermal Power Generation:

- Produces very little C02 when compared to other energy sources

- Is a "stable" power source, regardless of weather conditions

New Zealand is known as a region that is rich in geothermal resources. As such, a Japanese company (Sumitomo Corp) has recently finished constructing a large geothermal plant there, and the two countries are very excited about this project. Prior to this the company had installed a similar station in Indonesia. These two plants are the world's largest geothermal turbine stations (using single-unit power).

Kudos to New Zealand, Japan, and Indonesia for working together to make this planet a healthier, sustainable place to live.
