It's all about Nature today:

In this visually dazzling talk, Jonathan Drori shows the extraordinary ways flowering plants -- over a quarter million species -- have evolved to attract insects to spread their pollen: growing 'landing-strips' to guide the insects in, shining in ultraviolet, building elaborate traps, and even mimicking other insects in heat.



For those of you living around the Portland Oregon (US) area - you may want to check out the SouthWest Watershed Resource Center which offers an Online Native Plant Swap

The Native Plant Swap allows Portland-area folks to access year round free native plants from the gardens and yards of other community members. You will also be able to access tips, information and help for various issues facing gardeners in that particular area.


In a bold thought experiment, George Monbiot imagines a wilder world in which humans work to restore the complex, lost natural food chains that once surrounded us.
