 BC Lake Stewardship Society, based in Kelowna, BC (Canada), is dedicated to the preservation, protection and restoration of BC lakes - with the aim for quality habitat for aquatic life, wildlife and people in BC. Volunteers, school classrooms, citizen scientists and environment professionals gather data that helps protect our waters all over BC.

The BC Sustainable Energy Association (BCSEA) is a volunteer-based, charity that supports the sustainable production, distribution, and consumption of energy in British Columbia and beyond. The association collaborates with governments, industry, universities and other institutions, other non-governmental organizations, and citizens to put in place the conditions needed to accelerate the province’s transition to a lower-carbon economy.

The BC (Canada) branch of the SPCA organization prevents cruelty to animals, helping to enforse laws and prosecution of animal abusers. Local branches throughout BC also serve as animal adoption agencies.
