The Canadian Foundation for Animal Assisted Support Services (Winchester, ON) works to sustain the innovation, coordination and integration of various animal assistance in multiple sectors in Canada.

The Canadian Kennel Club Foundation ​promotes research and projects aimed at supporting and improving good health across the dog population.  They focus on funding research into the causes, diagnosis and treatment of diseases in dogs with particular emphasis on support for Canadian researchers.

The Canadian Marine Environment Protection Society (based in Vancouver, BC) is run entirely by volunteers since 1993 - working to facilitate the discussion of ethical scientific and environmental issues related to the plight of marine animals and their habitat.
