Yup - time for another group of recommended resources to check out... featuring 2 non-profit  organizations in breed-specific animal rescue:


Dogwood Rescue Society is run through a network of volunteer foster homes and rehoming animals for over 30 years, without a shelter. The dedicated, compassionate individuals involved focus on larger breeds deemed "sporting, hunting, racing, guard or gun" dogs.

Donkey Sanctuary of Canada: How cool is this? I love donkeys! We once had a neighbour with one and they swore it kept the bear and cougars away from their property. He was loud and cute, clumsy and adorable, hungry for treats and always curious when anyone walked by. So of course I had to tell you about this wonderful non-profit rescuing donkeys through a network of caring farmers.
