Friends of the Earth: This organization started in 1978 with just a handful of volunteers and has since grown to a national, recognizable non-profit. focus on various environmental campaigns including bees, climate change, energy, environmental justice, water, plastics, and more.

Friends of the Killbear - these volunteers work to protect, clean, manage and stewardship of the Killbear Provincial Park. This park was once hunting grounds for the Ojibway natives who called it Bear Point (Mukwa Naosh) but it was mistranslated and has since kept this, uh, unusual name for a protected park :)
