Q: While you an I know each other's work fairly well, our audience may not have had the chance to visit your talk radio show so I would like to start at the very beginning. When did you get the idea to launch your own show?

A: ASWIFTT
RADIO aired its first show in August of 2010. Launching this talk radio show was an extension of ASWIFTT Publishing, LLC which is the parent company. The idea of hosting the show came naturally because I have a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Broadcast Communication.

Q: Taking on a project like this is no small task. Why does this show matter to you?

A: It matters because it provides a platform to educate the audience on issues that effect the masses. The acronym ASWIFTT stands for Ambassadors Sent With Information For This Time. We cover local, regional, national and international news topics.

Q: What is your favorite task involved with your program?

A: Research, without a doubt, because I am a life long learner. I love learning new things about different topics of interest. Each time I schedule a guest I learn amazing things while preparing for the show.

Q: What do you do to promote your projects?

A: When promoting an upcoming show, an upcoming book or project I advertise through ads, articles, networking, videos, interviews and word of mouth... and here's how I use each of these:

  • Ads are normally used for short visual messages about my products or services.
  • I use articles when I want to go into detail about the product or service.
  • Networking is also great because other people are advertising or purchasing your product or service.
  • Videos are used for short commercials.
  • Interviews are used for a personal touch. Customers get to see and hear the creator behind the product or service.
  • Word of Mouth is my final form of advertisement. Satisfied customers advertise for you.

Q: What encouraging advice or problem solving advice could you offer to others just entering into this field?

A: Know the rules of the broadcasting industry. Know which media platform works best for you such as radio, television, or newspaper. Educate yourself about the industry and on the different forms of media.
Always use creditable sources for information and steer clear of defamation. According to Wikipedia.com, defamation is the oral or written communication of a false statement about another that unjustly harms their reputation and usually constitutes a tort or crime.

Q: What do you look for when it comes to guest queries or networking opportunities?

A:
My staff and I expect those who are interested in becoming a guest or partnering with ASWIFTT RADIO to listen to our previous shows. This gives them a sneak preview of what we do and the type of stories we cover. It is also wise to visit our website at: aswifttradio.net to learn more about us. All guests are provided with pre-show instructions a month in advance. When guests follow our instructions it makes the process easier for them and for the staff too.

Q: What are some common mistakes hosts make, and how can they remedy them?

A: The biggest mistake a host can make is not having a plan, system, or method for their show. The second is not doing research before hand on the topic or guest for the show. Hosts should have standards for their show. They should not rely on a free-style or impromptu method. This makes any host look unprofessional and unorganized. It can also ruin the success of their show.
