I met Pat thru an online writer's group we are both a part of, and she submits this question: "How long had the idea of your cookbook been developing before you began to write the manuscript?" This question had me really probing the memory to the very beginnings - collecting the recipes into one file, and after years of refining, testing, etc. ...finally a finished manuscript was created and we decided to release it to the public as a cookbook.
