Recommended Resources

The Recommended Resources series has been published on this blog since we transferred it from the Brummet's Muse biweekly newsletter that ran for 6 years or so, many years ago. When we closed it down, we decided that we just had to continue this series here on this blog and have been doing so now for nearly 2 decades.

With this series, Dave and I have the pleasure of sharing some great resources which can include
- positive impact organizations and events

- citizen science projects

- helpful articles, amazing resources & exciting interviews

We hope our readers will reach out to thank them for their work, find a way to network with them, share these sites with others or get involved in some way.

Pets For Life Society Alberta focuses on supporting quality of life for companion animals. Everything from vet care, support services for animals in need, preventing overpopulation to anything at all that could prevent suffering.

The Farley FoundationI couldn't describe this foundation any better than this quote from their website: "Right now, many people who love their pets dearly face a terrible reality: their pet needs a critical procedure or treatment, but they just can’t afford the cost. This is such a lonely and devastating position to be in – to forego non-elective treatment, or, in some cases, to euthanize. We started the Farley Foundation because we believe there must be a third option: to get help."

Pilots N' Paws Organization: Like the name implies, this organization focuses on connecting generous pilot volunteers, and plane owners, to assist with animal transportation that increases numerous charitable organizations to rescue, shelter, rehabilitate and find homes or habitat for animals in need.
