Find Canadian Seed and Garden suppliers

Today, (below), I am sharing excerpted information taken from the S eeds of Diversity   e-newsletter.  Connecting #Canadian #Gardeners with Canadian #Seed Companies, and #Garden Suppliers.  Where to Get Canadian Seeds! Did you know that most of the vegetable seeds sold at big stores, and retailed by large seed companies, are produced in other countries, particularly the U.S.? Check the labels and look for Canadian-produced seeds. Canada has lots of great home-grown seeds, and we'll help you find them!   Use our  Canadian Seed Finder It makes sense that seeds produced near you will grow better than seeds produced in a different climate. That's why we've listed all the vegetable seeds available from 120 Canadian seed companies, and made it easy for you to filter them by region. You can even search for certified organic seeds, and bulk quantities. You have to check the details on each company's web site to find out which seeds are produced in Canada, but if they're...

Poetry Time

Poetry Time This monthly series began more than a decade ago in an effort to encourage the joys of poetry. Here we celebrate other poet's work, as well as our own. If you would like to submit, simply visit the  ABOUT  page for guidelines & contact information. ALLITERATION The limpid light lay loosely on the land When Wendel went to watch the washing waves, He brought a bunch of books about a boy And spent the summer sitting on the sand. A mood most mild and mellow moved his mind To tell a tale to twenty traveling teens, In just their jeans they jested, jumped and joked While signing silly songs to set the scene. Wendel wasn't wise in worldly ways, In his humble heart he held that he Could not conceive of coddling cranky cows, And he never knew that gnats could knock their knees. © Frank Brummet  (February 2006) * This poem was written by Dave's father in February, 2008 - who enjoyed studying the art of poetry.  Here he is exploring alliteration, a wonderful tool...
