Making a Difference

-- Quote of the Day --

Ethically Sourced means to us human rights violations, …forced labor…. Working conditions …the effects on the land… But retailers will use the term very loosely. …Consumers need to ask questions like “How do you know it is Conflict-Free?” and “Where did the jewelry come from?”. …Recycled content is important too. So Ethically Sourced should mean… socially responsible practices, fair labor practices, environmentally responsible practices. Unfortunately the terminology is not standardized and so it is up to the consumer to determine the origin of the jewelry they buy.”

Divine Children's Home - www.DivineChildrens.com
This children's refuge started soon after the death of Alice Thomas's child. She was looking to fill the void when a desperate mother handed her a child. Soon after that she found herself accepting an ever increasing number of street children and others from destitute or abusive situations. Today her efforts have grown into the Devin Children's Home, a non-profit located in India.
