World Of Podcasting - Interview

Q: When did you get the idea to launch your podcast?

A: I struggled & prayed for one year concerning the name, type of podcast & who
would assist me with the technology piece of creating a successful show to benefit others!

I met Sam, my cohost & tech at a Florida Middle School. We connected through his brother, Ben who worked beside me as a Dean. Sam loved the ideas 💡 & I hired him.

Q: How did you start your podcast?

A: Sam & I were on another platform before our 5 Star 💫 Apple 🍎 Podcast. There, we experimented & made a few mistakes via our logo, music, format & level of consistency!

We collaborated with our Success Coach, Mitch Matthews for six months before
the first episode was launched. We ironed out several issues: Logo (ie, design, color,
background etc.), music 🎶 theme & episode format (i.e., 10-minute & 25-minute episodes).

The 10-minute episodes are called Classroom Corners focusing on array of food & wellness topics are driven by our listening audience. The name of our podcast derived from my 29 years of working in the education profession as a classroom teacher, Dean & Certified School Counselor.

Q: Why does this podcast matter to you?

A: This show represents how Sam & I, two underdogs, overcame major challenges ( Sam overcame Dyslexia & Dr. N. Cerebral Palsy) !

Q: What is your favorite task involved with your show?

A: Sam & I love 💕 being transparent with our guests.

Sam & I create engaging questions to ask as well as begin the show by posing asking our guests about their families & what kinds of food they grew up eating with their families.

We’ve learned interesting information concerning cultures from all around the globe that we enjoy sharing with our audience!

Q: Did you have someone help you design the podcast?

A: Sam, my brilliant technician & co-host, created the logo design & runs all the
technology aspects of the show. We both collaborated on the Classroom Corner 10-minute episodes as well as 25-minute episodes.

Q: Are there other hosts or gurus that you look up to?

A: I look up to Amberly Lago, a Wellness Influencer, who has been a mentor & Mitch Matthews, a Success Coach who is my coach. Both individuals are family driven & they are continuously seeking to ‘improve other people's lives!’ They inspired me to reinvent myself into a Life Design Coach, speaker & podcaster.

Q: What encouraging advice or problem-solving advice could you offer to others?

A: If your considering starting a podcast, please seek out a company or individuals who are successful in this area of business. Sam & I sought out a successful podcast producer who taught us the ‘do’s & don'ts’ of Apple podcasts. This was invaluable counsel that enabled us to have a growing five-star podcast!

Q: What sort of networking have you done with, or because of, your show?

A: Over the past year, while reinventing myself from an educator to a Life Design Coach, speaker & podcaster, I traveled to various coaching & presentation  training events via Amberly Lago’s & Mitch Matthews's events. Interacting with a plethora of coaches, entrepreneurs & speakers has opened up my understanding of how the wellness industry works!

Q: I love that you bring up the collaboration has actually been an educational experience for you - one that hopefully will lead to even greater successes in the future :) What, in your opinion, should every new podcaster know?

A: Every new podcaster should be transparent with both your guests & your audience. Hosts need to create successful systems that work, so that the production can be successful. I think you have to be willing to, & always look to, improve!
