Location: Near the grain elevators, downtown Creston, BC.

Price: 

$25 per day (6-9 hours) 

- or - 

$30 for overnight care. * Pick up in the morning by 9 AM, later pick ups will have an additional charge. 4 hours or more = a full day charge. 

ALWAYS: Text (or whatever) before coming over. Don't assume it is convenient. We are often dealing with clients, in online meetings or doing live interviews with media. Ringing door bells and barking dogs make this impossible. So please - let us know when you hope to pop by to make sure it is convenient.


Bring: bedding/blanket, specialty items for your dog, food, treats, a t-shirt with your scent on it. If you require meals, those are extra ($4/meal - includes treats) and will be the same high-quality food our dogs eat.
 
Accidental Injuries: Just as a caveat: Our home and yard is as dog-friendly and as safe as possible. A fully fenced yard, secure gates, safe paths, carpeted steps and landings. If your dog gets a minor injury through playful accidents, we do not take responsibility for minor scratches or other little marks from over-zestful playing.


Prepay via e-transfer or cash upon arrival.

  Policies:

   All dogs must be:
  • housetrained
  • up to date on vaccines 
  • spayed / neutered
  • relatively clean 
  • relatively easy-going; preferably female, or very mellow males. 
  • no problem dogs, attack dogs, aggressive, history of biting or escape artists 
  • owner must notify us of special needs, allergies, etc.
When going out of country, prepayment is required - due to the unpredictable variables that may delay your return.

* If by chance you missed the policies here -- expect extra charges as it can affect whether we can sit other dogs at the same time (which reduces our income) and the extra work (laundering, high energy, carpet cleaning, & bathing if they go in heat unexpectedly) that will be required. 





ABOUT US:

For several of decades I (Lillian) have done pet sitting for friends, family, neighbours and clients on a casual basis. Having adopted 5 different dogs from animal shelters in the last 22 years Dave and I have learned many training and obedience methods. In 2021 we included the dog sitting as one of the many services available within the Brummet Media Group business.

We have 3 pets, 2 dogs and 1 cat (indoor). The cat has her own room with a cat door so she can find peace whenever she needs to. 

In the pics - you'll see numerous dogs, including our present and past fur-kids, and a number of puppies that we have sat for in this home. 

For those of you who we have sat for before, you might notice that there are a few dogs missing - I can't seem to find the pictures of Sable, Simone, Sparky or Lucy.

Our fully fenced yard is akin to a little park, that dogs love. In the summer, we keep a shallow dog pool ready for playful splashing and 4 buckets of water can be found around the yard and deck, ready for a refreshing drink. We do have air conditioning indoors and the house is dog friendly.


While I do not offer walking services, our dogs spend the day with me - up and down the stairs doing chores, and season-pending - outside in the yard and gardens. At rest they'll be hanging out on the couch, on the deck or at my feet in the office (I'm a writer). They also get the benefit of Dave's presence in the evenings and weekends :)

If you feel compelled to contribute to the treat supply - which is appreciated -  bring only: freeze dried liver chunks, plain unflavoured Milkbones, or frozen chicken breasts (chopped, cooked pieces are a dog's joy joy). People are not obligated to do so however often when we sit for several days in a row, we find people usually want to contribute to the treat supply.

Our 2 female dogs are both fairly young (almost 4 years old) and very, very playful. 

They have toys everywhere and are used to sharing space, toys and attention with others. 

* There are no children here.
