The Green Guide website is put out by National Geographic and offers advice for everything from insulation, buying an eco-friendly TV and alternative cars, to water conservation.  

The California Resource Recovery Association (CRRA, founded 1974) is California’s state-wide recycling association. It is the oldest and one of the largest non-profit recycling organizations in the United States - dedicated to achieving environmental sustainability in and beyond California through Zero Waste strategies including product stewardship, waste prevention, reuse, recycling and composting.

Now here’s some interesting innovation you mind enjoy – a Canadian, family-owned-and-operated company known as Atlas Block,  are now producing concrete construction and landscaping materials using colored glass collected through municipal blue bin programs. This company, according to Recycling Product Newsletter ( repurposes 2.5 million wine bottles annually, making a lighter concrete product that has the potential of reaching up to 80% recycled content.
