Resources for Conscious Living

Some fantastic resources for you to check out when time allows:

Harvest Share: As most gardeners know, zucchinis are a problem. Plant a few seeds and you have dozens of zucchinis, each one striving to be a size suitable for a dugout canoe. The average gardener has more than they can possibly give away to their neighbors, friends, relatives and co-workers, no matter how hard they encourage, plead, beg or coerce them. This discussion of the zucchini problem took place in the Spring of 1995 and led to the concept of Harvest Share.

A similar program can be found via Creston's Harvest Share Organization, with a focus though on sustainable food production and land use, along with water and air quality. They work hard to promote access to locally grown food, but also in sharing harvests with those who need it most.

And one final resource for you today:

Global Vision International: offers safe, responsible travel experiences, exceptional training and career development opportunities, and facilitates the ability to make a real difference. To its partners it commits all project ownership rights and all work is undertaken fully under their direction, in conjunction with the local community. According to their site, this is a non-political, non-religious organization, which runs over 150 projects in over 40 countries.
