Charmaine Hammond and her dog Toby were a volunteer team at a mental health hospital for many years. She also worked as a volunteer doing presentations to schools and businesses, helping them be more resilient and inspired. She is passionate about being involved in community service projects and community groups. She wrote an emotionally moving tale about her experiences with animal therapy in a fantastic book: On Toby’s Terms. Charmaine and her dog Toby enlisted more than 5,000 students on their kindness mission and together raised more than $12,000 for local charities.
