"Let me tell you something you already know. Being on a diet sucks!

~ David Medansky

Are you frustrated being on a diet or are you finding it difficult to shed those few extra pounds? Are you embarrassed by your weight?

I understand how you feel because I felt the same way. I’ve been where you are now.

When I was in my twenties and thirties, I was fit and trim. However, like many of us, life gets in the way. With family obligations and work responsibilities I stopped exercising. I started eating fast foods and convenience foods. Before I knew it, the weight had crept up on me.

I got my wakeup call in July of 2016, at age 61, when my doctor told me based on my lab results and being fat, I had a 95 percent chance for a fatal heart attack. He gave me two options: 1) lose weight or 2) find a new doctor.

He strongly encouraged me to find a new doctor because he had been after me for 8 years to lose weight. I was embarrassed because I attempted every imaginable diet. Nothing worked for me. And if I did lose weight, I gained it back. Sometimes, I gained even more than what I had lost.

However, this time was different, the light bulb went off. During the next 4 months, I shed 50 pounds, nearly 25% of my total body weight. Now, I have more energy, feel great, and improved my overall health. And that’s what I want for you. For you to have more energy, feel better, look better, and improve your overall health.

I learned how to lose weight without going on a diet, without exercising, without counting calories, and without needing to buy any special meals, supplements, or products. More importantly, I’ve kept the weight off. I did a tremendous amount of research on the subject. This much I know, when it comes to losing weight and keeping it off, not one size fits all.

In June of 2022, at age 67, I hiked Mt. Kilimanjaro.

Most people know what to do to eat healthier and lose weight. We just don’t do it. Why? Why is it so difficult to lose weight and keep it off?

Let’s face it, diets tend to be temporary, extreme, hard to stick with and potentially dangerous to your health. Weight loss is a $76 BILLION each year industry. If those diets and weight loss programs worked, the average person wouldn’t be attempting 4 to 5 diets each year.

My approach is different, it’s simple, more importantly it works.

Whether you are looking to • increase your energy to keep up with your kids or grand kids and work obligations, • lose weight, • feel better, • look better, or • improve your health – the 9 Golden Rules of weight-loss for people who love to eat is everything you need to get there and stay there – for life.

Based on thousands of hours of research, I have identified nine golden rules of weight-loss for people who love to eat. They are:

1.    Drink water.

2.    Avoid fake foods.

3.    Eat whole foods.

4.    Eat slowly.

5.    Eat small portions.

6.    Sleep more.

7.    Rest to digest.

8.    Think positive.

9.    Walk every day.

Many people, maybe even you, might say,

I know that.”

You might know what to do, but are you doing it?

...If not, why not?

Don’t let the simplicity of the Nine Golden Rules of weight-loss fool you; they are game changers.

Above all else, I wish you good health.
