Great news!

According to a recent e-newsletter published by Columbia Land Trust Foundation, they along the Wiancko Family have worked together for decades and have now successfully conserved more than 800 acres of forestland in eastern Multnomah County!

Located just outside the Portland-Vancouver urban area and about a mile from the Columbia River, Nestwood Forest is a rare example of nearly intact West Cascade forest.

This link will take you to a 3 min. video with fantastic imagery explaining the project a little bit more.

In collaboration with the Wianckos, the land trust's stewardship team is developing
and implementing a long-term management plan for the site, which includes weed control, restoration where needed, and an inclusive approach to community engagement and public access.
