Registration is opening soon for the 2019 Kootenay Lake Summit that will be hosted at Taghum Hall this winter. The Friends of Kootenay Lake Stewardship Society's Kootenay Lake Summit is a free event offering an opportunity for community members to engage by attending presentations hosted by experts in their field. Last year's event allowed over 120 residents to participate and the chance to learn about the history of Kootenay Lake including related cultural and archaeological history. The focus of the 2019 Summit will be to provide residents with sound knowledge on the impacts that climate change will have on the Kootenay Lake community and ecosystem. Come and enjoy a delicious meal, locally sourced (alcohol-free) beverages and engaging conversation! This is a free event, however, there is a recommended donation of $15 to help the organization cover the costs associated with this event.
