In this fascinating Ted.com talk biologist Mohamed Hijri educates us about the phosphorus crisis, how this will affect farmers and the price of food, and a simple solution that will bring the price of food down, since the farmer will have less cost. The world is running out of phosphorus, an essential element that's a key component of DNA and the basis of cellular communication. One solution: A microscopic mushroom, "mycorrhizae".
