I read several articles and posts about the Current US president, Baraak Obama, announced his intent to expand an already existing marine preserve, creating the world's largest protected and designated marine preserve. He has also reportedly created a special marine task force that is meant to help end illegal fishing (black-market fishing and fraud). Apparently this is a huge problem, yet I've not heard of it until now. Basically about 20% of the fish caught are considered to be illegal. And just this month Mr. Obama introduced pollution control limits on power plants, which are apparently unprecedented.
