How many times have you watched the birds gracefully fluttering in your backyard? Birds are very interesting and enjoyable to watch; seeing all the different varieties of birds that come to make a home in your backyard. Providing birdhouses to give the birds shelter and nesting is an opportunity to also get to know what type of birds are in your area. Some birds like the shade, while other birds like an open area, and so you may find spacing out several birdhouses helpful. Birdhouses should also be placed on a stand-alone pole instead of a tree for protection from predators. Maybe you already have a birdhouse in your backyard. Even if a birdhouse is not nested in, it can provide safety from predators and keep the birds warm during the wintering weather.
