Recycling November 15th is officially America Recycles Day - set aside by the US Environmental Protection Agency who recognized the importance of recycling to the economy and to the environment in 2018 via this special day. In the beginning of the US recycling/returnable programs in the early 60's they achieved only 7% return rate... but today as of this year they have seen an increase to 35%. Now while the growth rate is something to celebrate, 35% leaves a long way to go if we want to create a sustainable world.
