Poetry Time This poem is excerpted from the Towards Understanding book within the Playing In The Sandbox Of Words poetry series. The reason why I like this one so much is that it speaks to me of changing one's perspective, becoming OK with one's self and to embrace life without the distractions of distant and hazy desires. It also warns us that if we become distracted or obsessed then our personal life is jeopardized. I wrote this - believe it or not - when I was 18, and it only went through one edit. It has since been published in quite a few magazines, e-zines, newsletters... and won a couple of awards from poetry organizations. It is, of course, also in the book - T owards Understanding .
