-- Quote of the Day -- The littlest good deed Is better than The biggest intention. ~ Unknown -- Positive Eco-News -- It is wonderful to see so many big companies jumping on board with the Zero Waste Initiatives: Kudos to the company known as "GM"...who now has 76 landfill-free facilities - meaning these zero waste facilities do not produce any garbage that is sent to a landfill. In total, this company has about 145 of these facilities and have reached its 2008 goal of converting 50% of their plants to zero waste. Reuse and Recycling have been the focus of their waste reduction.  Chevrolet, too, is reaching toward a more sustainable business by their plans to invest forty million dollars in clean energy projects with the end goal of reducing 8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions.
