Product Review

-- Wall Decal Product Review --  Chris Ferguson of Splash Wall Art invited us to take on a review project of their vinyl decal designs around the end of October, and when I visited their site ( http://SplashWallArt.com ) I was really impressed with the designs they had listed there. The company has been specializing in wall decal since early 2009, and is based in Oshawa, Ontario (Canada). I was particularly interested in the Winter Tree, Bamboo, Japanese Crane, Marsh Cattails and Music Notes designs, but had a hard time choosing those from the many designs available – especially from the nature categories. Once you’ve chosen a design, you can also choose from available colors and even the direction of the design, depending on the options available.  The decals arrived on Nov 18, about 8 days after ordering, in a recyclable elongated cardboard box. The decal was rolled up in a scroll with instructions tucked inside. Reusable...

Events, Organics & Paint

-- Quote of the Day --  “It is not so much whether a paint is labeled as washable, it is the finish that you choose. Flat paint typically gives a more rich, elegant look – the look explodes more than other finishes. The nice thing about flat paint is it is really easy to touch up. An eggshell or satin finish has a bit of a shine to it and is easier to wash, but you’ll see the touch-ups and scrub marks. …When it comes to choosing a paint, you get what you pay for. …It might cost twice as much but you are having to use half as much paint. The finish, the colors are absolutely stunning. …You want a full spectrum paint – the color is more enhanced, will change throughout the day, and will give a more full look.” Jeanette Chasworth Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on September 6th, 2012 - titled: Color Your world  (*Click on the title to access the full discussion)  -- Conscious Liv...

Home Decor

* Today's article comes to us from Sachin - of WebProfits.com.au   --  What Your Home Says About Your Personality -- A person's personality can be shown by the way they decorate their home, through their choices of colour, design and even how secure their home is. You might find it surprising but how we decorate our homes, what additions we make to them and how we look after them speaks volumes about our personalities and to the observant visitor your personality is completely on display. For example an extrovert is more likely to paint their walls with bright colours or use colourful wallpaper and a more cautious person would be the first to install security doors and security screens . Colour Your choice of colour within your home can quite accurately describe your personality. A more conservative person would be more likely to go for more neutral wall colours, such as beige or off-white, and if they do use a colour on their walls it is more...
