Therapy, Behavior and Health

-- Quote of the Day -- “ What is extraordinary about us is that we each have the capacity to rise like the phoenix out of our ashes, to create ourselves newly, to begin again. We can transform ourselves and our lives, regardless of what we have endured before now. Maybe the true purpose of suffering is that out of our pain, we will rise, expand, grow and achieve. " –Judy Tatelbaum, American author/therapist -- Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show --  The lack of effective communication is a leading cause of divorce and a breakdown of relationships between professionals and their clients. Resources, Laughter & Inspiring Eco-news

-- Quote of the Day --  " Any day is beautiful, When it has been touched By laughter. " ~ Author Unknown I started out pretty awful this morning... not feeling 100% and waking up feeling more tired than when I went to bed, I started the early morning chores - making lunches, doing dishes, taking care of the dogs, and early office work. Especially Skyla - who is such a goof! ...thank goodness for the loving animals in our lives. :) -- Lillian's Referral Corner -- Here are some recommended resources for you to check out when you have some tim...

-- STROKE IDENTIFICATION -- * This message below was sent to me via email: During a BBQ, a woman stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics). She said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes. They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Jane went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening Jane's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - at 6:00 pm Jane passed away. She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Jane would be with us today. Some don't die. They end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead. RECOGNIZING A STROKE Effects from a stroke can usually be reversed within 3 hours, but this depends on people knowing how to recognize, diagnose and get medical care for the victim in time. Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficul...
