Positive News

-- Positive News --  I learned recently of a Japanese company, LIXIL Corp ., (via Japanfs.org) who has designed sanitary portable toilets for impoverished or devastated areas. These "SaTo" toilets are built in such a way to seal the waste from air and flies, thereby reducing hazards associated with open human waste.  The company aims to "improve hygiene for 100,000,000 people by 2020, and with one million of these already in use, the company is well on its way to this goal. visit: https://www.lixil.com/en/about/information.html Here's some more good news for you - a company called "Tonle" began when one woman saw several needs... good employment and independence for women in impoverished areas, lots of waste in the garment industry, quality comfortable clothing for women that move around, as opposed to posing a certain way so the cloths still look or feel good.  Check out their site at: www.tonle.com   and in particular this page on the s...

-- Quote of the Day --  "As we may miss the joy of life by dwelling on the past, so we miss the possibilities of the present if we expect life’s best days to be in the future. The good days are now." ~ Lionel Whiston  -- Living Life Today --  Today's quote has some importance in my life... After the suicide of my mom and step-dad, the loss of other family members and friends, witnessing illness and age-related emotional and physical woes... I realized that today is my golden moment, and to stop working and staking my hopes on some day in the future that may never come.  Taking time to live : to enjoy nature, to spend time with our fur-kids and playing in the garden, to leave a positive legacy every single day, to embrace the moment.
