-- Just Read a Novel Month -- Did you know that January is a writer's haven? Not only are the winter months more conducive to the task of writing, this is also a time when many people are increasing their reading habits while enjoying the comfort and warmth of the indoors. Libraries and bookstores will notice an increase of traffic during the cold season and many writing events are traditionally held around this time of year. In fact, January is "Just Read a Novel Month", the goal being to encourage people to read one novel during the month of January. I did some research online on this interesting concept, apparently only novels count (memoirs, short stories, essays, poetry, non-fiction... do not count) and it must be something you have not read before - and it must be read within the 31 days in January.
