Solar Energy, Within Our Reach

-- Quote of the Day --     “ I, for one, truly believe that individuals can make a difference in society.  Since periods of great change such as the present one come so rarely in human history, it is up to each of us to make the best use of our time to help create a happier world. ” ~ Tenzin Gyatso, H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama -- Positive News --  Did you know that: - Solar energy accounted for nearly a third of all new electricity generating capacity installed in the U.S. in 2013? - More Solar has been installed in the last 18 months than in the previous 30 years? - Parking lots in the US equate to more space than all the highways and roads in the entire North American continent?  ...Imagine if every parking lot installed raised solar panels that not only shaded the parking area and reduced Urban Greenhouse Effect (because the pavement and cement would be cooler) but also generated power for surrounding buildings and ...

Green Pools

-- Quote of the Day --    “We kind of tap into the notion that if we question something that doesn’t suit us but have been doing so long – there is a fear factor of not being loved or accepted. …Imagine a ship in the harbor, and the harbor is disgusting – there is oil everywhere there is dirt everywhere and the ship is sitting there with its anchor. Even though we look down into the water and we see it is dirty we still have our anchor set up and we call it home instead of setting sail away from that harbor. – that is what I call the sheep state; going with the flow, that if I was to raise my hand and go against it I will be ostracized. …But you have to be able to say this in unaccepted, I better stand up and make a difference – because how else will a change occur. So we have to go away from the sheep-state, because your actions will have a rippling affect on the people around you. Don’t wait for someone else ...

Inspiring Positive Change

-- Quote of the Day --  “You want to stay out of the courts, you want to stay out of litigation and you want to create the most harmonious outcome you can. Divorce does not have to destroy a family and it does not mean that the children suffer if you do it right. …When you get out of court and the divorce is legally over – you still have got decades of parenting your children and if you are starting off fighting and hating and mistrusting each other you are much less likely to be co-parenting in a positive way. …Understand the benefits of putting your children’s needs first and making decisions on their behalf – everyone will come away feeling better.”  ~ Rosalind Sedacca Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on Feb. 19 '13 … titled: Before & AfterDivorce   (*Click on the title to access the full discussion)   -- P...

Positivity and Solar Power News

-- Quote of the Day --    “{Re: positive living} Just be conscious of how much negativity has been allowed in our lives. Erase those negative thoughts and speech and actions - and replace them with something positive. And smile – the default is to frown and even if we are not in a bad mood it looks that way and people respond to that - so simply smiling can have a huge result. Negativity is simply a bad habit that we’ve allowed to manifest in our lives. The average person has between 40-60,000 thoughts a day – 95% of those are negative… but the good news is that we can all make a dent in this by making these easy steps to turn things around to a more optimistic, happy lifestyle.” ~ Sally Marks Today’s quote originates from the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio episode that aired back on Dec 4 … titled: Erase Negativity From Your Life  (*Click on the title to access the full discussion) ...
