-- Quote of the Day -- “ …I am always referencing back to the gardening experiences with my father when I was very little… It was phenomenal to me that you could take this little tiny seed and there was already this momentum …and it would begin to germinate and to grow. And this is truly how we function in life. We plant a seed – the seed is a thought, an idea that we sow, or put into action. …The earth is very healing, the more we have our hands in the earth, our bare feet in the ground, …this not only helps to cleanse our energy but also to listen to the one true voice so we begin to process the things that we do… and begin to just listen. You know, it is a meditative process. …When we would plant carrot seeds we couldn’t see what is going on beneath the ground, and you would just have to know the maturity date and pull them out of the ground. …And I was thinking how frequently something is going on underneath the surface …and yet is it something that we deliberately planted? Conscious Living Tips & Chatter :)

-- Chatter -- Well, I do feel a bit burned out in the brain so I think today I will start off with some yoga, walk the dogs and finish turning one of the 3 compost bins that we have... leaving the office work for the heat of the day and the evening. As many of you are aware, the release period of any book project is a huge endeavor. No matter how much planning goes into the release, there are always moments of scrambling and panic over technical glitches - which could be anything, really, from an image that isn't working to a link that goes nowhere...until things get ironed out over the first few days of a release. Pre-release announcements, press release production and direct contact mailings have been the focus of our office for the last 4 days or so. And at the moment I'm approaching burn out, lol. So I'll take a few hours to get some other things done, and be back in the office clattering away on the keyboard this afternoon. ...If you want to check out the new release ...

A Lasting Legacy & Writer's Advice

-- Quote of the Day -- “… It is really easy for folks feel depressed and powerless but the answers are right in front of us in fact they are within us. And we have to recognize that we alone control our responses and our emotions as opposed to what is happening in the world around us around us. And we can take immediate action to change things for the better, we have that power. There are five steps to getting control of our lives… The 1st step is – get a grip. Realize that worry and fear only make things worse. Breath, when we get stressed, our breathing gets shallow…making us mentally confused – and then let it go… recognize that there is something bigger than you and it will work out. …Then think gratitude …there is so much to be grateful and when you can count your blessings the problems around you seem less significant. …The 2nd step is to get real – this is where you alone control your responses, emotions and your destiny… Realize that you can choose to be happy no matter what ...
