What is a Chat Room? - you ask... Well...

What is a "Chat Room"? - I am glad you asked. When hosting the live show, I open a "chat room". This is where listeners can post comments, questions and suggestions - and I interact with them both during and after the live broadcast. The listeners gain access to the chat room by clicking on a little green box that says chat room. If you don't see it when listening to a live show, make your window bigger and scroll around until you do. After accessing this, you see what others are saying in the live chat room. To chat via your keyboard, you will need to register at: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/register.aspx They will send you an email, right away, and you can click on that link they send you to activate the registered listener account. This is free and very quick, it only takes a couple of minutes and then you can chat away with everyone else in the room. * Chat users are welcome to network with others in the chat room as well.

battery recycling

-- Quote of the Day -- The past may rob the present of much joy and much mystery. ~ unknown -- Brummets in the Media -- Our colleague Mr. Tim Corrimal has a wonderful radio show called Progressive Political Radio - which he co-hosts with Dave Von Ebers. This radio show " combines a humor with dead serious, inanity with politics " ...sprinkled with bits of breaking news topics. Tim invited me to join in for the first 10 min or so of his show. Check out these links to find the interview: Episode 153 : TimCorrimal.com  -- Referral Corner -- Call2Recycle, North America’s only free battery and cell phone collection program, announced in December, its heightened commitment to diverting batteries from Canada’s landfills… has collected rechargeable batteries throughout the country since 1997. Earlier this year, Call2Recycle also began collecting all household batteries, including alkaline, at thousands of collection sites throughout British Columbia and Ontari...

Keep Moving Forward

-- Quote of the Day -- “ I’m delighted to say that the most extraordinary things happen – even when times are extraordinarily difficult. …I see everything as an initiation – it is transformational. …I’ve learned a lot about allowing and patience and tenacity. …There will be people that won’t get your work, but you keep moving forward. Things take time. In our culture, it seems that we are focusing on how many and how fast, and I’ve come to calm down and say that it is about quality – not quantity .” ~ Janine Kimmel Today's quote comes from the Contributing Creatively interview that aired on the Conscious Discussions Talk Radio show back on Dec 9, '10. Check it out via the hyper-linked show title (above) or find more recent episodes via the sidebar on this blog :) -- Chatter -- Well the Brummet's Muse Newsletter was sent out to our list this morning - in this one, I shared some updates on what's been happening on our end of things and some of the excitin...

Alternative Transport & Writing

-- Quote of the Day -- " Success comes to a writer, as a rule, so gradually that   it is always something of a shock to him to look back   and realize the heights to which he has climbed ."    ~ P.G. Wodehouse -- A Review! -- I am thrilled to announce that a review of our e-book: Purple Snowflake Marketing - How to Make Your Book Stand Out in a Crowd , was published on a writer's blog yesterday. I hope you have time to check it out :) - Visit My Writer's Blog to access this well-written review by someone who's been in the writing industry a long time - prolific author and internet marketer, Nick Daws. His points out that the book can be used to market e-book and self-published (or vanity) authors... it can also be used to promote audio books. The concept of a marketing plan for these various ways of producing a book will remain the same - it is up to the author to tweak the guide we've provided to suit their unique situation. The information in ...

Understanding the Human Condition

-- Quote of the Day -- “ I think that words have always helped me nail down the significance of an experience that I was living. I feel that words help you understand what you are, who you are, what you have lived through, what your relationships are with others … because words are concepts. And these concepts refer to elements of your experience that you are trying to structure into some kind of meaningful coherent pattern. …And so I have always used words to help me to understand myself… and I have loved literature because literature offers you a particular authors view of a human experience… so that you can see it much more sharply than you can when you are living in a particular time. …You live the experience and when you write about it you stand aside so that you can assess it much more clearly. Literature helps me understand the human condition .” ~ Leonard Rosmarin Today's quote originates from the World of Writing interview that aired on the Conscious Discussions...

Alternative Energy & Innovations

-- Quote of the Day -- The littlest good deed Is better than The biggest intention. ~ Unknown -- Positive Eco-News -- It is wonderful to see so many big companies jumping on board with the Zero Waste Initiatives: Kudos to the company known as "GM"...who now has 76 landfill-free facilities - meaning these zero waste facilities do not produce any garbage that is sent to a landfill. In total, this company has about 145 of these facilities and have reached its 2008 goal of converting 50% of their plants to zero waste. Reuse and Recycling have been the focus of their waste reduction.  Chevrolet, too, is reaching toward a more sustainable business by their plans to invest forty million dollars in clean energy projects with the end goal of reducing 8 million metric tons of carbon dioxide emissions. We celebrate these efforts and encourage our readers to look for ways that they too can improve the "green" efforts at their own desks. -- Referral Corner -- Cyclon...
