Today we are featuring a n inspiring article written by Tiffan y Olson, Communications Manager for Optimize Worldwide . Tiffany  is a passionate blogger who writes for small businesses in order for them to increase their online presence. This article was inspired by Killroy.com and their work with termite inspection in Union City . What Is Green Pest Management And Can It Solve My Termite Problem? So you want to kill all the bugs... but nicely? You’ve decided that toxic pesticides are a no-go and anything synthetic should be kept off your property. But you still want to murder all those dirty, dirty termites that virtually eliminated your favorite wall yesterday. Fair enough. A few decades ago, if you told that to the pest control guy that just arrived at your house, he would laugh and proceed dumping gallons of bio-hazard into your lawn until everyone single one of those horrid little bite-sized devils were lying belly up, six feet under (can somebody ...

Green Living Non-profits & our anniversary

-- Our Special Day --  Today is our 23rd Anniversary - this day 23 years ago Dave and I started dating. Wow - time certainly does pass along quickly. I can still remember those awkward first moments when I felt like my insides turned to gooey wet moss and I replayed everything I said critically after seeing him. lol - He remembers finding ways to "accidentally" meet up where he thought I might be going and striking up conversations. And here we are today some 23 years later still in love, still holding hands, still spending our days together and preferring each others' company over anything else. :) -- Brummet's In the Media --  Check out the short interview with me about how I got started with blogging, how it helps me achieve my personal goals, and leave a positive legacy. http://anovelquest.com/passion-series-the-brummets/ -- Conscious Living Event --  ACEE Earth Matter Environmental Education Conference   Apr 25 – 27, 2013 Location...

World of Writing, interview

Product Review

-- Product Review -- Samantha Weinman, fashion media and marketing manager of American Apparel , first connected with me back on April 5 th re: reviewing their new sustainable line of clothing. Amazingly the products arrived just 6 days later on April 11 th , delivered to my door. Packaging consisted of one thick plastic shipping bag that contained 4 items – each item had a small brown paper label made of 100% recycled paper… both the paper label, shipping bag and even the small plastic tag attaching the label to the product are recyclable. All of their clothing is manufactured in the US, where environmental standards and employee rights are more stringent than other countries outside of North America. This also means that there is less fossil fuels spent in shipping the fabric to the manufacturer and then the product to the consumer. I was thrilled to find that the soft yellow hat and autumn orange sweater were made from pre-consumer cotton fibe...
