poetry

I'm taking the day off from the office today - ah, those golden moments of reprieve :) While I love what I do,  without occasional day's off I'd go a bit bonkers :) I thought it would be a good time to share some poetry excerpts from my book: Towards Understanding TRAPPED! There is but a child in me, Waiting to escape. To see the wonders of the world, And rid herself of hate. She wants to feel joy in living, And romantic summer eves. She dreams of running wild, Through autumn’s fallen leaves. But I keep her well in side; Afraid of experiencing pain. She shouldn’t have to cry, That sweet little child of mine. - This poem is in recognition of the superficial relationships I had developed for fear of being depended on, or being disappointed. Experience teaches us, however, that by keeping ourselves locked up in a seemingly "safe" place we only relive old hurts over...

Empowering, Enabling People

-- Quote of the Day --  “There are plenty of people with a passion…but if they are not willing to work hard for it they cannot be upset that they didn’t reach their full potential. Work hard, after you have set your goals and found your passion – work hard. …if they want greatness they are going to have to do great things every single day. …You have got to do your research; you have got to find a mentor, even an indirect mentor so you can follow their footsteps. …When you find it is what you want to do – there are certain steps that need to be taken. …Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game. You miss 100% of the shot you don’t take. If you really want something there is going to be some risk to reach out for your goal, there is going to be some fear you are going to have to face, there are going to be obstacles that you are going to have to face. …When you stay in your own little world contained you fail to realize the opportunit...

A: I was an avid reader and dreamed of seeing a book I wrote in a book store one day;   however, being a writer seemed something other people did, so I planned to pursue my other love, which was chemistry.   Later in high school I became interested in the legal process and decided to be a lawyer.   As an adult, I took creative writing classes, and once the idea for my novel came to me, I was driven to write the book and   persevered over the years. Referral Corner

-- Quote of the Day --  “A sleep disorder is really just a broad category for all the various symptoms we have to get a good night’s sleep. – So; do we have a difficult time falling to sleep, …staying asleep, …are we having a restless night, how is our energy in the morning, are we waking up tired, are we struggling throughout the day – and sometimes when we are not getting enough sleep it triggers chemicals in the brain that tell us we are hungry even when we are not. …I’m always fascinated by the way our body is always communicating with us and if we are listening… we are able to get back to that balance. …Our thoughts create our feelings… if we can shift the way we are thinking it shifts our experience as well. …So often we feel that these things are happening to us, but I feel that they act like a fire alarm letting us know that our thoughts are out of balance. …High vibration content before bed… that help show us the loving peaceful side of humanity...
