-- Quote of the Day --
"This is our purpose:
To Make as meaningful as possible
This life that has been bestowed upon us;
To live in such a way
That we may be proud of ourselves;
To act in such a way that
Some part of us lives on."

Mitsubishi Estate Co., a major real-estate company, opened a model condominium for Park House Komagomesomei, and introduced a combined system for collective access to high-voltage electricity and solar power generation on February 20, 2010. The solar power generation system is expected to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 30,000 tons per year.
Under the system of collective access to high-voltage electricity, the condominium association collectively receives high-voltage electricity from power companies, and then transforms it to low voltage electricity for distribution to individual households. In addition to saving residents money on electric bills, the system contributes to reductions in construction costs.
The condominium was the first project for Mitsubishi Estate's proposal to promote a combined system of collective access to high-voltage electricity and solar power generation for condominiums, which was approved as a new environmental business model to reduce greenhouse gases by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. The combined system can reduce the electric bills for common spaces by using generated solar power to offset the initial costs of the solar power generation unit. The company plans to advance the development of condominiums that contribute to reducing CO2 emissions from the residential sector.
