Kudos to the Japanese Sake Production Company, Kikusui, who ​won an award​​​ for their efforts to create a healthier planet. Their policy now embraces the reuse of wine bottles, reducing energy use and c02 emissions (about 500 grams per bottle). The company also embraces the concept of c02 absorption via forests, and began supporting the Forests for Japanese Crested Ibises project - which focuses on improving habitat, preserving forest land and planting trees. ​
