How many times have you watched the birds gracefully fluttering in your backyard? Birds are very interesting and enjoyable to watch; seeing all the different varieties of birds that come to make a home in your backyard.

Providing birdhouses to give the birds shelter and nesting is an opportunity to also get to know what type of birds are in your area. Some birds like the shade, while other birds like an open area, and so you may find spacing out several birdhouses helpful. Birdhouses should also be placed on a stand-alone pole instead of a tree for protection from predators.

Maybe you already have a birdhouse in your backyard. Even if a birdhouse is not nested in, it can provide safety from predators and keep the birds warm during the wintering weather.

Because many types of birds are seed-eaters, they can help you with the weed control in your yard.
Some birds can be great pollinators that will help give your gardens and flowers beds that extra boost that they need. Birds love fruit trees, and are great at controlling pests all year long and this helps you have a bountiful harvest each year.

As you consider your backyard as a haven for your feather friends, you need to consider the right birdhouse to purchase for the birds. There are so many different birdhouses to choose from for the special species of birds you are buying for, which will help you make the right decision for your feather friends.

Birdhouses come in all different shapes and designs, which could be a house, apartment, camper, fishing shack or one that pertains to your special hobby. They can be painted, stained or just an unfinished wood, whichever fits in your yard or one that you just like.

Take some time to enjoy the outdoors and keep your eye open for the bird that you may not have seen before. Every day when we wake up, don't be surprised to see your feather friends enjoying the new birdhouse that you have selected for your backyard. When one bird comes into your yard, more will follow.
